- Fast, flat boardwalk run with great spectator support
- A taste of authentic Chile
About the Local Area
La Serena is yet to make the list as one of the must-visit places in the travelers handbook, and this is terrific. This makes La Serena exempt from the large drones of tourists stepping off the night busses and flooding the streets, so the feeling as you walk the streets is that you are in authentic Chile, not just a stop on the tourist trail.
About the Race
The single lap 1.9km swim takes place in Coquimbo Bay before heading out for the 90km bike on the main highway along the Pacific Ocean coastline before turning inland to discover the beauty of the interior valleys of the region.
The 21km multi-lap run will go along the seafront to the iconic Monumental Lighthouse, overlooked by the striking Third Millennium Cross.
